One of the GREATEST elements of being a part of a specialty designer boutique is getting those big boxes of fresh new merchandise! Right then and there, you and your co-workers bond over beautiful designs created by talented masterminds of the fashion industry; such as the likes of Mr. Alexander Wang. Alex (can I call him that?) was THE designer who created the “T” craze in the industry. The question continues to be…who can do better? He sets a pretty high bar!

In the past 4 years since owning LaRee, I can probably count on both hands how many nights I have hit the pillow before 2am.  What can I possibly do that keeps me up at these odd hours you ask-well, to make sure I bring you the most recent, hottest, beautiful lables out there I must keep up on my research.  It doesn’t hurt that I love this part of my work.  In my most recent sleepless night, playing around on my laptop, my dog snuggled up close to my side on the couch I found my new favorite website-Nowness.com and on this website I fell in love with the ad for spring ’11, Janie Taylor for Chloe’. (www.nowness.com/day/2011/4/16/janie-taylor-for-chloe.html) Who is Janie Taylor?  She is a principle dancer with the NYC ballet and she is exquisite.  The perfect representation for one of my favorite designers out there.  This ad illustrates the femenitity that all us ladies have been missing, after seasons upons seasons of the “Rocker Chic” trend.  Go find your inner ballerina my friends, throw on a flirty dress, a pair of classic Repetto “Ballet” flats (Rose Repetto did define her collection from a demi-pointe dancing shoes) and pas de bourre’e out into spring!

My search is over, I have found a handbag collection that is sure to be a hit-Jerome Dreyfuss got it right!  Let’s first talk about our Albert, this guy is the messenger bag in cognac I have front and center.  With three compartments and expandable zippers, this bag is sure to keep you fashionably organized.  We then have Billy, who comes both small and large.  I happen to have both on…the one on the right is clearly the small Billy in this cool amazing gold lame’ leather, but don’t let Billy’s size fool you, with adjustable straps you can sport this bad boy both tote and messenger style.  And for large Billy on my left…well he’s the same as the small, just bigger.  Now let’s talk about the fact that Mr. Dreyfuss designed his bags with a small flashlight inside, to ensure you will find whatever it is you’re in search of.  Not only are these bags beautiful, but well thought out.  And to think…a guy knew just what a lady needs out of a handbag.  Then again, he is married to our favorite designer Isabel Marant.  Come on by and see for yourself, or check out the collection on our website!
